| REAL TOUCH ORCHIDS |
|
We will be getting in MANY real touch orchids within the next 2-3 months. And, YES, they will be in the most requested colors- fuschia, magenta, violet, lavender, and purple. We will be posting photos as soon as they are available. Now if they would only bring in other flower types in these colors........
If you are looking to buy solely stems for centerpieces, we suggest pre-ordering if possible. Once these become available they are sure to sell out quickly.

| The REAL TOUCH reality |
|
As you may have noticed on our site, we will only be accepting wedding flower orders that consist of Real Touch flowers(aka Natural Touch, Fresh Touch, & True Touch) for 2011. We will also be using premium Floramtique flowers as well. So why is this you ask?
Please allow us to give you some background information on the Real Touch Flower industry. As you may as well know the Real Touch flowers have grown extremely popular throughout the last 5-6 years with the Wedding Market. The use of the internet has played a major role in advertising and promoting this product all over the world. Our brides are now demanding Real Touch flowers because of their superiority over standard silk flowers of the past.
While this may sound like the Real Touch wedding flower market is expanding and the demand for these flowers increasing, there are issues within the manufacturing and production of the Real Touch line. We have been putting this information on our Quote Form estimates for almost 2 years now. It may have been thought of as a "sales tactic", but it was not.
Since the global recession began around 2 years ago, trade between countries such as the US and China has been affected too. Many businesses have had to cut back on spending for new product line expansion and the discontinuation of product lines has resulted. Artificial floral companies have taken part in this as well. Product lines(such as the Real Touch flower line) that are pricier have been re-evaluated to see which items were selling best and providing a profit for the company(ie: roses, calla lilies, casablanca lilies, daisies). If the item was a questionable risk, it was discontinued.
Think we're making this up? One major floral supplier on the west coast had 95 items that it had in it's Real Touch flower line, to date they now have 77 items. That's a discontinuation of 18 items without the addition of any new items. Another large artificial floral supplier on the west coast completely went out of business. Added to this mix is the fact that the pricing for imported Real Touch flowers is increasing, to the tune of $.25 per stem to $1.50 per stem for flowers being restocked right now, 2010/2011. There are now larger minimums required for countries to import the Real Touch flowers from manufacturers in China. Thus longer wait times for the importation of items.
THIS IS HAPPENING IN CANADA TOO!
You may notice the following as a result :
*Online floral designers using real touch flowers cannot restock their flowers as quickly. Now taking 3 months-1+ years.
*Online floral designers not being able to guarantee flower availability in their regular designs.
*Online floral designers no longer specializing in CUSTOM designs.
Some even no longer in business.
*Real Touch flowers being substituted with cheaper flowers.
*Online floral designers suggesting using other silk flower lines to replace the Real Touch flowers.
*Incorrect grouping of flowers into the Real Touch category in order to look like new items are coming out.
So what are we doing to ensure the Real Touch Flowers don't become extinct?
We thought it best to do wedding flower packages that only consist
of premium Real Touch flowers....not because we're being snide or greedy.
Here's how it will help:
1. It increases orders with our suppliers.
2. More orders to suppliers results in increased supplier's orders to China manufacturing companies.
3. More orders to China manufacturing companies means less chance of high price increases, long restocking times, and item discontinuation.
VIVA REAL TOUCH FLOWERS!
