We would like to inform all prospective brides that have not yet booked their 2008 wedding dates that flower prices will be increasing starting Jan 1st 2008 .  
     We are doing everything possible to keep prices close to what brides have been receiving for the past 2 years.  You may have noticed we are now taking all calls on one line (815) 608-4293 and we've added a 1 800 fax number to help cut costs.
     Over the last month, several of our floral suppliers have sent us written statements notifying us of price increases due to higher costs in importation and longer than average production times.  This is due to advancing technologies in China and less focus on manual labor factories that are producing our artificial flowers.
     As we all know, the U.S. dollar is decreasing in value as the markets fluctuate. We will be trying to counterbalance the effect since U.S. artifical flower sales are actually increasing.  

What does this mean? 
More and more brides, interior designers, and other specialty businesses are choosing to go "the fresh alternative" route. 
As you can see on the PKG UPDATE page,
ANGEL'S ACCENTS weddings have increased by 30-40%  from last year at this time.

As for those who still get the question from other bride's  "What? You're going with artificial?"
Let them know YOU are all the wiser!  Fresh flowers are in an oversupplied situation.  Economic factors such as fuel/energy costs, mortgages & the housing market, weak US dollar, trade agreement uncertainty, and business/marketplace failures are hitting retail florists hard.  Long-standing businesses have closed.  Some growers in South America walked away from their farms giving them to their banks.  These farms are taken out of production. We all know most people are more conscious of how they are spending. Life-long flowers at an economical cost...what could be more right?

WE ARE STRONGLY URGING that brides considering using ANGEL'S ACCENTS for the designing of their wedding flowers order at least 4-6 months in advance.  This will better guarantee the flowers chosen will arrive within plenty of time and at the lowest cost available.
